Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units, ducts, and thermostats. Evaluate properties to determine necessary HVAC repairs or maintenance before HVAC projects begin. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. Coordinate with property owners, managers, and other contractors to schedule HVAC projects and minimize disruption to tenants or occupants. Keep accurate records of materials used and time spent on each project. Follow safety guidelines and regulations, including using appropriate protective gear and properly disposing of hazardous materials. Troubleshoot HVAC issues and implement solutions to ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems. Advise property owners and managers on appropriate HVAC upgrades to improve energy efficiency and comfort. Keep up-to-date with changes to HVAC codes and regulations.
