Job Description

Dutco Construction Group started operations in the United Arab Emirates in the 1970s. The Group comprises of the following Companies:

Dutco Construction is looking to recruit an experienced QA QC Engineer to work on Marine infrastructure Projects (Marine experience), across Residential / Villas and Retail Sectors. Projects are valued between AED 300m to 800m.

Duties

We require experienced QA QC Engineers who have worked on similarly valued Projects for Tier 1 / Tier 2 Main Contractors. Duties will include:

Responsible for quality control and inspection in all construction activities including soil excavation and earthworks, concrete works, block works, structural steel works and roofing, roads and paving, tank pads and bunds, and general activities associated with civil and building works.

Shall be thoroughly familiar with civil construction materials and construction methods, testing of civil construction materials, international codes and standards for civil design, construction, and testing of materials and works.

Possess skills in direct coordination with the Consultant Material Engineer/Structural Engineer.

Understand and review all specified standards, Contract specifications.

Ability to prepare, review, and issue monthly QA/QC reports, Material Submittals, and preparation of Method statements and ITP's.

Able to assist in performing offsite/onsite tests required under the contract, calibration of lab equipment, testing and commissioning.

Compiling project closeout reports, testing and commissioning procedures, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.

Flexibility to use software, understanding tech standards, making bridge gap analysis between project and international standards.

Preparation of progress reporting and drafting weekly reports.

Desired Candidate Profile

- UAE/MOFA Attested Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related fields.

- Minimum 5 to 10 years work experience in Marine projects preferably from a Tier 1 / Tier 2 Contracting Company.

- Projects worked on, as QA QC Engineer should be in excess of AED 300m, managing significantly large packages and scope of works.
