We have the expertise to carry out full EPC&M services for electrical and instrumentation works and bring our intrinsic knowledge to measure and automate exploration, production, separation, refining processes, and distribution through our localized services.Job DescriptionAbout the role:The Junior Bid Engineer will play a pivotal and support role in the development of proposals. The junior bid engineer will work with the Bid Manager to develop and manage the bid strategy and manage the communication protocol with all internal and external stakeholders. The Bid engineer will own the bid response covering all products / solutions offered by Gulf Commercial Group, Engineering Services.Overall responsibilities:Bid engineer will competently review the tender packages and RFQ's.Participate in BID / NO BID process to validate opportunities.Deliver high-quality Technical & Commercial proposals on time.Manage associated cost preparation responsibilities.Obtain factored / sub supplier costs where necessary.Attend clarification meetings with client when required.Ensure that the tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines.Manage and keep up to date the CRM entry related to quotes and orders.Analysis of operational bids for benchmarking and lesson learnt requirements.Review the RFP(s) with the team and identify opportunities for cost savings, value adds, pros and cons and process improvements.Take responsibility for all associated handover documentation in the event of an order.Prepare post order project documentation.Attend to post order clarifications to ensure completion of project on time.Participate in and actively support company initiatives.Be familiar with the general specifications and market requirements.Familiar with, the risks within the activities and processes, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.All other duties as relevant to the post.QualificationsMinimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum 03 years' experience preferably in oil & gas, power and utility sector.Additional InformationExperience Requirements:02-03 YearsSkills & Professional Requirements:Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)Excellent communication, organizing and time management skills.Documentation and data base management.Attributes and Behaviours:Flexible and adaptive approach to workSelf-starter and self-motivated person who can demonstrate use of initiative.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Strong interpersonal skillsMaintaining integrity and confidentiality
