WSP Middle East are currently looking for a highly skilled BIM Lead to join our IDD - Design Management team in Sharjah, UAE. Your new role, what's involved?Establish comprehensive Digital Delivery Model for Technical Architecture.Lead the implementation of digital delivery strategy and provide necessary support to the team.Standardize Digital Way of Working for Technical Architecture by analyzing, categorizing, and streamlining the work process.Check and monitor efficiency for each design activity and find ways to improve by utilizing existing digital technology or by developing new applications.Lead design automation process and highlight aspects and areas of productivity and quality improvement.Collaborate with other digital leads for organization's Digital improvement and upgrade plan.Provide quality standard for model and information and support architects within the team to achieve it.Establish standard templates, library of families and standard details in line with region's practices and material specs compatible with multiple projects and clients.Take responsibility in planning Architecture discipline project BIM deliverables and managing their effective delivery in accordance with the project plan and BIM Execution Plan.Lead the creation of BIM deliverables, Clash Detection Processes and Reports, BIM Quality Control Plans, BIM Design Review Procedures as required for architecture.Configure and maintain the project Common Data Environment to enable the effective management of Architecture design deliverables.Support and guide architects for Quality Assurance and Quality Control of models and drawings and other related BIM deliverables.Manage the Spatial Design Coordination process within Architecture team and ensure the clash avoidance, detection, analysis and mitigation are well reported.Monitoring and guiding the model utilization, health check and maintenance process for future handing over to Design 3rd parties or construction Team.Identify and detect in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary projects BIM Lead any potential opportunity/risk for the Project or the Team.Integrate leading edge BIM applications including Scheduling, Cost, Asset Management, and O&M programs into the BIM models.Reporting the project BIM status to the Project Management team covering but not limited to: BIM Issue Tracker, Audit Reports from Native BIM solutions, Clash Analysis status, progress and completed tasks against upcoming projects submissions.Support the assessment and evaluation of new resources as part of Architecture team expansion plan.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for escalated software functionality issues.Support interoperability of BIM authoring and coordination tools with Design Analysis tools as applicable.We'd love to hear from you if you have:Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent with proven track record of successfully undertaken BIM responsibilities within Architecture design delivery team.Minimum of 8 years of experience and background in Design and BIM Management (inclusive but not limited to BIM modeling, Coordination, collaboration, data management, Quality Assurance and Control) on large scale multi-disciplinary projects within the Middle East region.Experience in DfMA, manufacturing industry, application development with focus on digital delivery is a plus.Knowledge and proven awareness about standard compliant BIM best practices.Proven ability and leadership skills to lead, monitor and support a team of architects already in use of the BIM authoring solutions.Mandatory proficiency and Hands-on on Autodesk Revit and other BIM authoring tools such as Rhino.Mandatory proficiency on Autodesk Navisworks Manage.Mandatory proficiency on BIM360/ACC Environment.Proficiency on Dynamo scripting tools with background on automation of BIM Authoring and interoperability with Architecture design tools would be of advantage.Extensive knowledge of BS 8536, PAS 1192, ISO 19650.Strong knowledge of COBie implementation/delivery and 4D to 7D deliverables at LOD 350.Proficiency on MS SharePoint and ACONEX platforms would be an added value.Experience working within multi-national working environment would be beneficial.Excellent English communication and presentation skills.Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and solve problems.High level of creativity and forward thinking with analytical mindset.What's in it for you?
