Performs difficult and verycomplex field engineering assignments involving the development,execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspectsof a construction project.Maintains firstlevel quality assurance to confirm that the installation of allwork within his/her discipline is in accordance with the plans,specifications, and industrystandards.Supervises the constructionengineering and landscape works and provide technical expertise forone or more of the construction engineering disciplines, as well assurvey personnel.Supervises ConstructionInspectors, ensuring that tests and inspections are performed,witnessed, and documented in accordance with approvedprocedures.Monitors and coordinates allcontractors' activities for assignedarea.Collaborates with construction managementto eliminate any hazards associated with the work that mayadversely affect the environment or the safety or health ofemployees.Ensures that personnel of theassigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance withsite specific safety procedures and industrystandards.Establishes and maintains liaisonwith the discipline design engineeringstaff.Reviews and interprets discipline designdrawings and specifications to ensure current re vision level andcorrect technical execution of thework.Provides resolution for technicalengineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinatesapplication of solutions.Develops disciplineconstruction schedules and monitorsprogress.Provides schedule and progressappraisal report to the ConstructionManager.Monitors material procurement anddeliveries to ensure timeliness in support of constructionactivities and schedule within the assigneddiscipline.Ensures that materials receivedmeet specifications and established standards ofquality.Organizes the accumulation of assigneddiscipline data for the final project turnover andreport.Initiates and maintains records, backcharge procedures, progress reports, etc., asrequired.Interfaces with the client and upperlevel management.Performs otherresponsibilities associated with this position as may beappropriate.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil/Agriculture/Irrigation Engineering as well as 15+ years ofexperience in field construction isrequired.Experience in the construction oflarge infrastructure, road and landscapeprojects.Recent experience in the UAE,particularly Dubai is required.Requires acomprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction relatedprocesses, as well as industrypracticesRequires excellent written and oralcommunication skills, preferably familiarity with CAD and other PCsoftware packages typically associated with engineering andconstruction, and the proven ability for performing in a leadcapacity on the project.
