Study and develop conceptual designs, prepare detailed engineering solutions, plan, monitor and coordinate all assigned modifications (projects) with project team for a wide range of tasks related to discipline scope. Act as a key focal point for in-house/subcontracted engineering. Review of engineering studies conducted in line with defined requirements, industry best practices and contractual agreements. Project Management: Coordinate discipline review and approval of design and interfaces with Contractor/Vendor on Company requirements and specifications. Review and approve all related technical documents and coordinate with supervisor. Review and advice on layouts, site preparation, foundations, buildings, structural platforms, pipeline support system, etc. during technical evaluation stage of bidder's proposals to assess technical capability and ensure compliance with project specifications. Ensure projects' civil engineering design and engineering activities are executed according to specification, within budget, with the contract scope of work and meets time schedules. Coordinate and provide engineering support for construction activities, including the assurance that engineering details required for construction are provided. Review and approve modifications (projects) as-built documents. Design & Engineering: Conduct site verification and data collection of existing and new facilities as part of study preparation. Carry out the design and technical reviews for all areas of work such as land surveying, geo-technical and site investigation, roads, buildings, drainage systems and retaining walls, etc. Execute verification, studies and detail design following best engineering practices and optimization in term of cost, construction simplicity, operability and maintainability, HSSE, etc. Consults with representatives of Process, Construction, Maintenance, Inspection, Operation, Reliability, etc. to ensure that designs meet the objectives. Prepares design specifications for reinforced concrete, buildings, earthworks, roads and underground networks, piling works, etc. Develops calculations for reinforced concrete structures, pipe rack, pipe bridges, equipment & machine foundations, piling works and drain collection systems, etc. Develops functional and drain/collection system (water, sewage, oil, etc.) layouts. Prepares supply and services purchase specifications. Develops studies for equipment foundations and concrete structures. Prepares MTOs and BOQs. Prepares Scope of Work and technical specification for civil construction subcontracts. Prepares technical documentation for civil material requisition. Carry out technical evaluations. Preparation of civil substructure/superstructure design, constructive drawings of buildings, plot plans and foundation drawings. Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality: Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, security, environmental and quality management procedures. To work closely with HSSE on related tasks. Ensure updating documentations related to modifications (projects). Participate in modifications (projects) risk assessments studies such as HAZOP, etc. Reports: Provide regular progress report related to assigned modifications (projects). Preparation of specific reports upon request. Internal and External Communications: Internal: Project team, Requester (project owner), Inventory, Procurement and other relevant parties. External: Contractors, Vendors/Suppliers, Consultants and Service Providers. Bachelor's degree in discipline Civil Structural Engineering. 12 years of experience in design/engineering in the field of Oil and Gas/Petrochemical industry. In-depth knowledge of discipline design/engineering with wide experience in multi-discipline areas. Knowledge of civil/structural design/engineering Familiar with Industrial/International Codes and Standards BS, UBC, IBC, AISC, API, ACI, ASCE, etc. Experience with civil/structural software such as: StaadPro, Sap 2000, Etabs, Safe, Autocad and others Preparation of civil/structural calculations and detail design/shop drawings for different tasks Excellent verbal and written English communication skills Project Management Time management skills Works independently most of the time and/or as part of an integrated project Strong interpersonal, relationship building Decision making and problem-solving skills Good IT/MS office knowledge Familiar with SAP system Salary: Monthly in QAR Plus Allowance Work Schedule: 8 Hours /5 Days Duration: 1 to 5 years with possible extension Location: Qatar A powerful global network, connecting the most talented and experienced specialists with both present-day and pioneering projects.
