**Position: ServiceDesk & L1 Network Engineer**

Education: Degree or Diploma

Certification: CCNA

Job description:

- Managing the help desk call queue to ensure that all requests are addressed in a timely manner.

- Log all support requests into the ticketing system, keeping track of progress and updating status regularly

- Escalate support requests to appropriate teams when necessary.

- Follow up with customers after issues have been resolved to ensure satisfaction

- Hands-on experience with ITSM, monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools

- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.

- Understanding of networking protocols.

- Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches etc.)

- Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including software upgrades, patches, hot fixes and best practice security configurations.

- Identifying customer issues and diagnosing the root cause of the problem.

- Providing basic troubleshooting and guidance to customers in resolving their issues.

- Good communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work within a 24x7 support environment.

**Required Skills**:

- Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodologies.

- Experience with ticketing systems, such as CA Service Desk, BMC remedy, HPSM etc.

- Basic networking knowledge

- Must have Knowledge on LAN, WAN, VLANS, Inter V-LAN, VTP.

- Must have Knowledge on switch STP, RSTP, MSTP, TCP/IP, UDP.

- Time-management skills

- Strong documentation skills

- Good communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work within a 24x7 support environment.

3. Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor degree or Diploma in Engineering technologies

- Cisco certifications, CCNA preferable

- **2 to 3 years of experience in network administration or Technical support**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary, Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
