Responsible to lead hospital strategic initiatives through process improvement, project management and change management. Provides leadership and direction to the various stakeholders in the understanding, utilization, and implementation of process improvement strategies and methodologies (e.g. Lean and Six Sigma) for the purposes of improving performance across the hospital. JOB RESPONSIBILITIESLeads continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) efforts that results in positive metric performance and capability build for the broader organization. Serves as a change agent; planning, developing, coordinating, facilitating and leading complex continuous improvement projects to acquire cultural change towards quality and efficiency Leads Kaizen workouts to eliminate waste; reduce cycle time and wait time, increase capacity and utilization, improve patients experience and staff engagement. Improves the process efficiency and drive the hospital towards operational excellence. Leads, manages, and facilitates the current state, transition, and future state phases for assigned initiatives/projects in a multi-stakeholder environment Coach and train the project teams on improvement methodology (Lean / DMAIC/PDCA etc.). Develop training modules as required. Facilitates and consults for the post-transition phase and implementation of operations for assigned projects Contributes to the day-to-day operation and effective coordination and collaboration within the process improvement team. Manage project timelines, risks and issues and overall change management efforts for the assigned portfolio of projects. Supports the development and reporting needs of Process Improvement Department. Supports the documentation and artifact collection for all assigned projects and initiatives. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the hospital officials, department managers, coworkers, vendors, citizens and other government officials. Responsible for the safety issues related to the job. Responsible for the confidentiality of information that they have access or came across during their work.Responsible for complying with the hospital code of conduct and the patient and family rights standards. Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the need of QIPS Department, and within realm of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial), Health Care Administration, or related field, is required. Minimum 5 years continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma), experience in a leading role (Must Have). TQM Master/TQM Diploma, CPHQ, CPHPI, Certificate in Data Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, or any equivalent Certificate in the field of Performance Improvement or Quality. Expertise in utilizing and providing coaching in improvement tools and methods including, but not limited to: VSM, DMAIC, Kaizen, 5S, Visual Management, Flow, and Load Balancing. Key requirements include strong knowledge of statistical and data analysis, change management, scheduling, demand capacity, project management, and team facilitation. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively in a team environment including facilitation, mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution. Ability to speak and write in English is required.
