Provide expert professional advice andguidance in allocation, planning and stewardship for costs andexpenditures for the Project. Develop and modify procedures to meetspecialised business requirements, providing advice and guidance toall team members as required.DutiesDevelopefficient cost services and provide expert advice on costaccounting, allocation, planning and control issues to ensureeffective processes are utilised throughout the project lifecycle.Review and evaluate assumptions and costplan data to ensure cost centre owners and project management arefully appraised on cost governance requirements and the projectcomplies with approved budget.Identifyopportunities to standardise cost and expenditure processes andprocedures recommending solutions for cost issues to ensurecompliance and project objectives areachieved.Coordinate and develop projects earlyexpenditure profiles and funding appropriation plans incollaboration with Finance department.ProvideFunding Packages submittals i.e. Advance Commitments(AC's), Full Funding (FF) and Supplementary Fundingwherever required, to ensure that all necessary funding isprovided.Develop and maintain a cost andman-hours information database, benchmarking data to providesupport for estimating requirements asrequired.Review cost related procedures,recommending improvements to achieve project goals and ensure costrelated initiatives, procedures and activities are understood andfollowed by all project personnel.Participatein corporate governance activities such as Gate reviews,Independent Project Reviews (IPRs), Cold Eye Review (CER),Constructability Reviews (CRRs) and internal audits as Cost SubjectMatter Expert.Provide timely projectcontrols/change management expert advice to Project Management Team(PMT), as well as monthly cost reports highlighting any emergingsituations such as cost overruns or re-baseline ensuring projectdeliverables are achieved.
