RoleSummary:The Business Analystapplies analytical skills project management and subject matterexpertise in projects to define the scope requirements design andquality criteria as well as identify opportunities for improvementand manage improvement efforts to a successful conclusion.Quantifies and describes improvement opportunities by leading theprocess analysis activities working effectively with business andtechnical subject matter experts across organization bringing abusinessoriented but crossfunctional perspective to leadership andproject teams resulting in a total system solution that meet goalsand objectives.PrimaryResponsibilities:Workswith leadership to cascade and evaluate requests to determineappropriate course of action.Prepares andsubmits requests and Business Cases for approval by appropriategovernance committees as directed.Works withdevelopment and infrastructure teams and other product groups toprioritize work requests obtain information remove obstacles andmanage them to a successful and timely conclusion. Keeps managementand team informed of work request status progress risks andissues.Participates in projects as a teammember and/or makes significant contributions to team effectivenessby improving the methodology tools and/or internalprocesses.Business Analysis and BusinessProcess Engineering (BPE) Consistently uses Business Analysis andBPE methods templates and related tools to produce timelyhighquality deliverables for initiatives. All deliverables willconform to defined standards contribute to the initiatives successand are effectively used by others in theorganization.Applies analytical / quantitativeapproach to problem solving knows how to obtain and use data andcomfortable with statistical concepts.Createscost savings reports (ROI NPV) for process improvement efforts andupdates as necessary for internalcustomers.Performs and baselines Quality andProduction data for functional area. Provides ideas for potentialimprovement opportunities and cost savings and follows through withsupporting analytical investigation measurements andreporting.Analyzes and creates requirementsfor improving or replacing manual or computerized systems andprocedures to meet user needs and to achieve greater corporateoperating efficiency.Develops realistic anduseful plans and schedules for completion. Accountable for thecompletion of tasks problem resolution meeting or exceedingdeliverables and keeping leaders apprised of progress across alllocations.Supports the preparation of statusreports and other project reports and presentation of informationto organizational leadership project teams and client/customergroups.Considers the crossfunctional impactsof change while creating all deliverables and supporting relateddecisions. Smoothly manage boundaries and handoffs.Drives process development and improvedworkflow efforts. Improves personal and team work approaches as acontinual process improvement focus in line with managements statedpriorities. Documents internal processes as needed to ensureunderstanding byothers.JobRequirements:Bachelorsdegree in business management computer science healthcareadministration or relatedfield.3 years experience indefining and analyzing EMR/EHR business requirements processmodeling functional systems design or configuration and/oracceptance testing or equivalent combination of education andexperience.Ability to performanalysis of medium scale business efforts including the ability todiscover and describe the current state situation understandstrategic business goals design and articulate future state performgap analysis and make recommendations to business leadership thatmeet goals and requirements.Ability tofacilitate data and requirements gathering activities within smallto medium sized groups.Ability to understandtranslate and communicate technical and complex ideas andsituations to a wide variety ofaudiences.Demonstrated experience indocumentation and modeling of analysis activities through formaltechniques including ISO standards agile story cards or otherformal methods.Experience with businessmodeling processes through process mapping use cases gap analysisSWOT FMEA RASCI and develop diagrams to define workflowsdesign.Strong testing documentation throughtest cases and test plans skills.Ability toutilize business Analysis tools including strong proficiency withMicrosoft Office Suite; Excel Visio andPowerPoint
