Trains /mentorsEngineers.Assists MOPEX offices onprojects.Has a good understanding of the otherengineering departments.Initiates interfacewith other disciplines to obtain input for disciplinedesigns.Provides engineering support asrequired.Performs engineering checks ofdrafting.Performs engineering checks preparedby others within discipline.Performs designverification through single discipline check and assists withinter-discipline checks (IDC).PreparesMTO's of structures.Preparesspecifications.Prepares subcontractdocuments.Review of vendordata.Prepares technical bidevaluations.Checks designs for operationalrequirements, constructability andmaintainability.Tasks as EngineeringSpecialistPerforms independently computeranalyses of structures.Prepares details andlayouts of structures.Prepares structuralanalyses and reports on calculations or performs specialist tasks(i.e. architectural designs, underground piping designs, complexstructures, topsides, jackets, weight control reports, center ofgravity reports).Is specialized in severalfields (geo technical, steel, concrete, dynamic calculations, FEM,fatigue calculations, earthquake, jackets, FPSO's, blast,hydrodynamics, architectural, …)Isspecialized in some design codes (EC, ACI/AISC/API,GOST,…)Prepares project engineeringguides.Coordinates and checks the work ofengineers anddesigners.Tasks as LeadEngineerWorks as Lead Engineer on smallprojects or acting as area lead or deputylead.Has full responsibility for allengineering and design work on small sizeprojects.Has full control and manages workhours, materials, progress.Works in closeliaison with the Design Coordinator, area leads,etc.Coordinates with projectmanagement.Assists Project Managerin:Preparing deliverablecontrol.Preparingschedule.Preparing progressreports.Preparing man-hour and capitalexpenditure estimates.Isresponsible for filing of engineeringwork.Gives relevant feedback to thedepartment.
