Job Responsibilities :•Overall management of the OperationsDepartment;• Monitors the performance of theOMCC Controllers, Operations Planner, Line Supervisors, TramDrivers and Security Sub-Contractor;• Ensuresthe safety and integrity of operations according to applicableRules & Regulations;• Appliesoperations policy and standards;• Ensures asafe, reliable and efficient operations of QEC PMS system andsatisfactory service to passengers on a dailybasis;• Co-operates with other managers toaddress customer concerns and complaints, maintenance requirements,etc.• Conducts investigations followingincidents or degraded modes.• Ensures properimplementation of the strategies, procedures and policies for asafe, reliable and efficient operation of the PMSsystem;• Ensures that a satisfactory level ofservice is provided to passengers;• Identifyand implements operational improvements;•Issues Operations instructions when required and updates operationsrules and procedures;• Chairs internal andexternal meetings and collaborates with otherdepartments;• Member of the Safety ManagementCommittee for amendment of rules and regulations whennecessary;• Chairs the Competency CertificateCommittee for certification of all Tram Driver, OMCC Controller,Line Supervisor, Operations & Maintenance Inspector andOperations Planner• Liaises with third partiesand the customer regarding operational issues and with othermanagers in order to solve customers' concerns andcomplaints;• Leads investigations followingincidents, accidents or degraded modes in coordination with HSQEdepartment and the customer;• Initiates further(and refresher) training as required and provides input to thetraining process;• Follows up on suggestionsfor operational improvements;• Initiatesdisciplinary measures when required;• Assistsduring T&C activities.
