What You WillDo
- Lead anoperational team in the production of solid wood lumber products ina safe and efficient manner in the absence of thesupervisor
- Train others on, and demonstrate, astructured approach to problem solving
- Serve asa proactive leader towards improvements to products, flow, cost,recovery, quality, work processes, etc.
- Takeownership of existing safety, quality, and performanceprocesses
- Promote employee involvement andprovide coaching, feedback, and direction asrequired
- Troubleshoot and resolve productionissues, provide safety training and team development to productionassociates, and deliver training materials with a meaningfulapproach
- Support all phases of the lumbermanufacturing process to include set-up, changeover, automation,workflow, yield rates, reliability, and overall efficiency ofmachine centers
- Must be willing to work a flexiblework schedule, including but not limited to rotating shifts,overnight shifts, and weekends
- Experience withMicrosoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,Outlook)
- 2 or more years of leadershipexperience in an industrial manufacturing environment OR 4 or moreyears of military experience
- Associates Degree orhigher
- Experience with continuous improvementmethods and lean manufacturing
- Computer networkskills (reviewing coding, adjusting configurations whenneeded)
