JOB DETAILS / ROLEPURPOSEThe role of Claims Officer involves processing medicalclaims for clients worldwide. We ensure a high level of clientservice while processing claims within an industry leading 48hours. The Claims Department is a very fast paced and challengingenvironment, with many different languages used and a mixture ofcultures.Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities will include, butare not limited to, the following: Adjudicate and process Claimswithin the agreed company SLA - clear to zero, in accordance withpolicy benefits to facilitate the company achieving its loss ratiotarget Use AWC's client database accurately andeffectively to ensure reports generated give a true reflection ofthe department's workload, which consequently facilitateseffective target planning Operate within and meet the conditions ofcompany service standards, clear to zero, to guarantee customersatisfaction and retention Contribute to the team and departmentalproductivity targets so that the agreed SLA is achieved and a highlevel of customer service is provided. In line with thecompany's policy on cost containment identify duplicatepayments, possible non-disclosure and fraudulent claims Respond tocustomer enquiries accurately and professionally and if necessary,liaise with other departments for support to ensure an efficientand professional response is given thereby achieving customersatisfaction Participate in departmental medical training to expandknowledge of medical terminology and procedures and to developcomprehensive claims processing skills Other Ad hoc duties asrequiredKey Requirements 1-2 years' experience in acustomer focused environment, ideally in clinical, paramedical ormedical insurance roles. Proficiency in MS Office Completion orprogression towards the Diploma in Private Medical Insurance. Ahighly customer-focused individual with strong interpersonal,communicative and accuracy skills.
