- Knowledge of relevant legislation to ensure compliance
- Knowledge of commercial governance and supply chain management practices, practices and trends
- Ability to manage risks associated with security, continuity, and integrity of supply
- Ability to implement policies for selection of suppliers and bench-marking supplier performance
- Ability to benchmark supplier performance
- Knowledge of placing, monitoring and terminating contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Well-developed leadership skills and have good strategic thinking ability
- Display excellent interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and ost breakdown
- Ability to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in any faculty from a reputed university
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and principles
- Proficiency in SAP procurement modules is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Previous experience in procurement or supply chain roles is mandatory
- Experience of working in a regional role is an added advantage but not mandatory
