Planning And Strategy Execution Manager - Design District

The Design District Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects, events and initiatives within the Design District. This role ensures adherence to budget, schedule, quality, sustainability, and HSE standards while managing internal teams, external consultants, and contractors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the design, construction, or real estate sector, with expertise in stakeholder management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Develop and manage DDD calendar.
  • Manage individual project phases, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, quality, sustainability, and HSE standards.
  • Ensure effective coordination with the Project Management Consultant (PMC) to streamline project execution for tenants, events, workshops and/or activations.
  • Manage relation with local and international fashion firms.
  • Oversee daily project operations and provide guidance on managing contractors, event agencies and consultants.
  • Identify and address project risks, issues, and deviations from scope, schedule, and budget.

Stakeholder & Contractor Management

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, architects, design entities & consultants, regulatory authorities, contractor, fashion house and universities.
  • Coordinate PMC activities, monitor performance, and conduct regular site visits to verify project status.
  • Review and provide input on project contracts.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure projects adhere to design standards, zoning laws, sustainability requirements, and HSE policies.
  • Monitor and review all projects and events.
  • Follow up with municipalities and ministries.

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Review and refine the initial high-level project plan and budget developed by Planning & Commercial.
  • Provide inputs to Planning & Commercial and generate reports.
  • Assess budget and schedule deviations, evaluate impacts, and define corrective action plans.
Who we are Looking for: Job requirements:

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor in Engineering - Civil/MEP/Sustainability or in a similar discipline.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
  • Strong knowledge of design principles and project management methodologies.

Experience:

  • 8 - 10 years with 3 years in Senior role.
  • Experience in planning and executing assignments and in handling multiple tasks. Proven experience as a project manager in the design or construction industry handling multiple projects.
  • Excellent strategic capabilities.
  • Ability to make quick decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
