PURPOSE: Assists the duty manager Services Director in supervising and monitoring the health care provided in his department to promote efficient & effective delivery of quality health care. Provides direction & control over all departmental activities. Duty manager service director and duty managers are assistants and direct reports to the COO of DSFH - Riyadh representing his authority in all aspects of service. Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Management Related Occupation is directly responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the major functions of the department. Healthcare Manager is manager with clinical background.
  2. Serves as Duty Manager of the Inpatient & Outpatient Services Departments, Supervises, and Coordinates and monitors the health care provided in the departments to promote efficient and effective delivery of quality health care.
  3. Compliance in daily report in writing to the president and agreed Chiefs / managers / officers and daily phone report to the president personally or his designee.
  4. Ensure daily reporting of operation notes including census and codes, admission in critical area and any other issued requested by president or his designee (within the hospital premises and to and from external facilities), Security and safety guidelines, Ethical guidelines, and delay in maintenance.
  5. Provides direction and control over all inpatients & Outpatient departments/units activities during assigned period.
  6. Communicates with company's approval office regarding any insurance patient or finance for cash issues.
  7. Communicates with other healthcare facilities for transfer patients from or to DSFH - Riyadh and coordinating with EMS division regarding the transportation process.
  8. Takes immediate actions with lifesaving cases admitted in ED After medical justification from the treatment physician.
  9. Coordinate with security department to report traffic accidents brought to hospital, suspicion of the patient's condition and confirmed suicide attempt to MOI.
  10. Frequently with service director of duty manager, Chief Operational Officer, Departments Heads, Medical Staff of Inpatient Services, other Departments Directors, and staff hospital-wide to coordinate health care delivery and to implement hospital policies and procedures as needed.
  11. Have also frequent contacts with patients and their families to solve problems and assure their satisfaction with coordination with patient experience department.
  12. Frequent contacts with TQM department for review and analysis of collected data of Occurrence Variance Reports (OVR), Clinical Pathways, Satisfaction Surveys, and other related topics.
  13. Externally has contact with companies and outside doctors, dealing with the hospital, local authorities as assigned and needed accordingly (MOH, Insurance Companies, and Credit Companies).
  14. Authorized to ensure implementation of all hospital policies, procedures during his assigned period.
  15. Makes rounds at all outpatients (clinics and ED) and inpatients wards to assure DSFH - Riyadh Healthcare providers are satisfying patients needs, solving their problems also to enforce practice of hospital policies including visits hours, Infection control guidelines, Transport of patient.
  16. Assisting for any delay of referral for in patients: (internal medicine and its subspecialties, Psychiatry, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Open-Heart Surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, Urology, Orthopedics, Oncology, etc.)
  17. Directs the personnel functions of staff, keeping service director duty manager and Chief Operational Officer informed of inpatient service activities in the assigned period.
Other Job Functions:
  1. Perform all duties and tasks in line with the Person-Centered Care values.
  2. Adherence to all policies, plans and programs within the Fakeeh Care -Riyadh.
  3. Perform duties as per the code of conduct requirement and ethical standards as outlined in the HCM policies and guidelines.
  4. Complete mandatory education as per the requirement at least one month prior to expiration.
  5. Maintain up to date knowledge on information relating to quality and safety, accreditation, policy management and document management systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: General Practitioner QUALIFICATIONS: Education: MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by SCFHS. Experience: 3 years administrative experience in administrative activities equivalent to the job level is desirable. Language: Excellent command of both oral and written English & Arabic.
