Role: Manager - Direct Tax Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. The candidate should have at least 5-7 years of relevant work experience in Direct Taxation .
  2. The ideal candidate is responsible for assisting with tax compliance and ensuring the accurate and timely submission of corporate tax returns, including VAT and Economic Substance requirements. The role involves supporting the development of tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position and advising on business structuring and cross-border tax matters.
  3. You will stay updated on changes to tax regulations and help implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance. Additionally, you will assist in managing tax risks, handling routine queries from tax authorities, and ensuring adherence to transfer pricing regulations.
  4. You will work closely with the tax team, providing support and guidance, and collaborating with external advisors, auditors, and other departments.
  5. The role also involves helping with the preparation of tax provisions and related financial disclosures. Strong knowledge of UAE tax laws, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  6. Experience in the Financial Service Sector is an added advantage.

  1. A bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, law, taxation or any related essential fields.
  2. MBA, Masters, LLM or another related advanced degree and/or professional qualifications e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent qualification.
  3. Reading and writing skills in Arabic and English including providing reliable translations of technical material.
