Position Summary: The Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing the hotel's revenue and profitability by developing and implementing strategies to increase the hotel's market share and average room rates. This role involves close collaboration with other departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Front Office to ensure a comprehensive approach to revenue management. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Revenue Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement pricing strategies that optimize revenue and occupancy.
    • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Analyze historical data and future booking patterns to forecast demand and adjust pricing strategies.
  2. Inventory Management:
    • Manage room inventory to maximize revenue.
    • Monitor and adjust room availability and restrictions on booking channels.
  3. Performance Analysis:
    • Analyze financial performance, including room revenue, RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room), and ADR (Average Daily Rate).
    • Prepare and present regular reports on revenue performance and forecasts to senior management.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and offers.
    • Coordinate with the Front Office to ensure optimal guest experience while maximizing revenue opportunities.
  5. Technology and Tools:
    • Utilize revenue management systems and software to track and manage hotel revenue.
    • Stay updated with the latest revenue management technologies and best practices.
  6. Training and Development:
    • Train and develop staff on revenue management principles and tools.
    • Foster a revenue-focused culture within the hotel.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in hotel revenue management or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in revenue management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:
  • Based in the hotel with occasional travel for meetings or conferences.
  • It may require working evenings or weekends depending on business needs.
