We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, responsible for independently performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and corrective/reactive maintenance on diesel engines and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the field and a strong background in mechanical engineering. Key Responsibilities:- Independently conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on diesel engines and related systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in diesel engines and other heavy machinery.
- Perform routine inspections and assessments to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, safety protocols, and technical advancements.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and related mechanical components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
