Senior Quantity Surveyors - Building Projects
DBB Dubai, UAE Posted 4 days ago Expires in 2 months Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and oversee all cost-related aspects of our building projects. You will be responsible for managing budgets, preparing estimates, and ensuring cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Job Responsibility:- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for building projects.
- Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations to ensure cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and identify any variance.
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
- Monitor changes in project scope and adjust budgets accordingly.
- Prepare reports on cost variations and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor junior quantity surveyors within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MRICS) would be a plus.
Skills
Skills:- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Professional certification such as RICS or MRICS
- Extensive experience in quantity surveying for building projects
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost control
- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well in a team and lead others
- Time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations
