Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in relevant field3+ years of experience in events planning, student affairs, or a related field.Experience in the Education / HE sector within the GCC region would be advantageousKey SkillsExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailProficiency in event registration software and other relevant technology.Problem solving: ability to identify problems and develop creative solutions to address themAbility to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Personal AttributesPassionate and drivenHas integrity and operates with transparencyResilient and adaptable to changeWillingness to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends as events schedules requireEvent PlanningThis responsibility involves conceptualizing and developing a comprehensive plan for each event. Identifying event goals and objectives, creating a timeline for event planning and execution, and working out logistical details. Selecting venues, securing necessary permits, planning menus with catering services, and arranging for necessary technology (like audio/visual systems). Where relevant assist with design event themes and/or coordinate with speakers and performers.Event PromotionPartnering with the University's Marketing Team to ensure events are effectively promoted, i.e., identifying target audience and appropriate channels, contributing to collateral design, and managing event pages. Tracking the success of promotional efforts and adjusting strategies as needed.
