Offer Description

Description: The Cornille laboratory in the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a Research Assistant lab manager starting September 1, 2024. The successful applicant will:

Settle the molecular biology lab;
Maintain sample collections, organize permit requests and sampling sessions on the field;
Coordinate with the PI and postdocs the settlement of field experiments with different partners;
Conduct a set of techniques in molecular biology by adapting the experimental conditions (apply health and safety rules, extract and sequence DNA and RNA);
Run statistical and bioinformatic analyses.

Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have a Master’s degree in biological sciences, molecular biology, genomics, or related fields and experience in a biology research laboratory. Significant experience in one or more of the following is strongly desired:

Transposable Elements Biology
The ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and scientific creativity are essential.
