Looking for a Piping Draughtsman for one of our clients with 1-2 years of experience. Education: Job Description:
- Identify, plan and execute work preparation in Ship Repair as well as conversion projects within budgeted time and resources.
- Ensure instructions regarding work requirements are relayed to the workforce in line with work scope definition as outlined in Work Specification, Tender, Work Instructions, Procedures and Manuals.
- Liaise and coordinate with Foremen of different projects as required with a view to jointly sharing responsibilities and as advised by Superiors.
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Comply with information security rules and data security measures to protect the company information/intellectual properties.
- Oversee day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
- Coordinate between onboard and shop activities on a daily basis.
- Ensure the database is updated for future records in the spool tracker and in local drives as per work instruction.
- Prepare job identification drawings and update in department database for records.
- Handle material requisition and follow up.
- Estimate man hours as per agreed tariff and submit for project supervision review.
- Document final job descriptions for invoice and man hours update.
- Document sailed projects as per documentation procedure in the department.
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
