Job Summary: The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure projects. This includes tasks such as analyzing survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects, preparing project specifications, and supervising on-site construction activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team of engineers, architects, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Design

Analyze survey reports, maps, blueprints, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.

Develop and design construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

Ensure that the design complies with government regulations, safety codes, and environmental policies.

Construction Oversight

Oversee construction projects to monitor compliance with engineering plans, specifications, and safety standards.

Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team.

Manage project timelines, track progress, and make adjustments as necessary.

Quality Control and Assurance

Conduct on-site inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify potential issues.

Address and resolve any engineering-related problems that arise during construction.

Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure materials and equipment meet required standards.

Project Coordination

Coordinate with other engineers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly.

Prepare progress reports, time schedules, and cost estimates for stakeholders.

Communicate with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.

Prepare and present regular project status reports to management and clients.

Ensure all project activities are documented according to company and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

5+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in a contracting or construction environment.

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or willingness to obtain one.

Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and regulatory requirements.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other relevant software.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage deadlines effectively.
