We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Project Director to lead the design, construction, and commissioning of a strategic gravity sewerage tunnel system followed by deep gravity tunnels, as well as decommissioning the current installed sewer system. The Project Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and project objectives while managing a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive project plans encompassing scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, focusing on integrating tunnelling methodologies and techniques, especially TBM, into the project delivery strategy.

Direct and supervise a diverse team of engineers, geotechnical experts, contractors, and consultants to achieve project milestones efficiently and effectively, with specific attention to tunnel construction, ventilation, and safety protocols.

Collaborate with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and community representatives to navigate permitting processes, secure approvals, and address environmental and social considerations associated with tunnelling and sewerage system construction.

Utilize advanced project management methodologies and tools to monitor project performance, track progress against established metrics, and proactively identify and mitigate risks and deviations from project objectives, particularly in tunnelling operations.

Manage procurement activities, including contractor selection, contract negotiation, and procurement of specialized tunnelling equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Communicate regularly and transparently with senior management, project sponsors, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and solicit input to inform decision-making related to tunnelling and sewerage system construction.

Uphold stringent safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement among project team members.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's/master's degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 20-25 years of progressive experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of overseeing gravity collection sewer tunnelling projects, including at least 2 complete sewerage tunnel projects in portfolio.

Demonstrated expertise in tunnelling methodologies, especially tunnel boring machines (TBMs), as well as experience with tunnel safety systems.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
