Overall organization of OPD, staff and functions are managed under the direction of the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer.Responsibilities:Develops and implements an outpatient department strategy that is aligned to the hospital's vision and its current and long-term business objectives.Liaises with other managers across the organization to ensure that outpatient strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the organization and align with the hospital's overall objectives.Ensures that all activities are conducted accurately, ethically, and according to the relevant policies, procedures, and standards.Manages the OPD staff, organizing staffing schedules to meet the needs for the OPD service, monitoring their performance for the purpose of periodic assessment and reporting to the Patient Services Manager.Controls and supervises employees in Registration and all OPD Patient Administrator.To hold overall responsibility for the provision of day to day nursing & Allied Health services for the Outpatient department.To manage the OPD nursing team and ensure adequate staffing.To ensure adherence to Dubai Health Authority (DHA) guidelines.Participates in the planning, creation, organization and introduction of new OPD Clinics.Prepares and submits report on the OPD functions.Leads, directs, and controls all outpatient policies, procedures, and activities so that they meet the hospitals overall business objectives and protect the organization's patient relationship and public reputation.Develops and coordinates the Quality/Performance Improvement Program within his/her area of responsibilities.Participate in recruitment, interview, selection, disciplining and evaluation process for directly supervised staff and other key positions.Convene and lead the Management Team to ensure delivery of quality services and programs.Maintain administrative reports and statistical information on all aspects of the clinic. Other duties necessary to assure that the OPD Department is operating in an efficient manner.Requirements:Resuscitation Certificate as per the specialty & Demonstrable ongoing and active CPDAwareness and understanding of KCH policies and KCH initiatives.Highly self-motivated - Possesses high internal work standards, sets themselves and helps others to set attainable goals; wants to do things better, to improve, to be more effective and efficient; measure progress against target.Flexibility - Able to adapt to ensure achievement of objectives within constantly changing situations and environments.Ability to maintain professional and personal credibility across all staff groups.Multitasks well in a fast-paced workplace.Provides excellent patient care.Desired Candidate Profile:Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Degree in Nursing (minimum two years course duration) And Registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.License: UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA)
