This role is pivotal in shaping the future of categories, driving both buying and selling strategies, and ensuring we deliver exceptional value to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the market, a strong network within the industry, and a proven track record of growing product categories in an ecommerce environment.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to drive growth and profitability. In short, manage the entire PnL of the different categories .Identify market trends and opportunities to expand our product offerings and market presence.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align the category strategy with overall company goals.Buying and Merchandising:Lead the buying team to curate a diverse and compelling product assortment.Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, brands, and manufacturers.Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and exclusivity where possible.Sales and Marketing:Develop and implement innovative growth strategies to increase market share and customer engagement.Work closely with the central events & marketing teams to create impactful campaigns that resonate with our target audience.Analyze sales data and market feedback to continuously optimize product offerings and marketing efforts.Team Leadership and Development:Build and lead a high-performing team of category growth experts and buyers.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.Financial Management:Oversee the category's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and achievement of financial targets.Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to address any variances.Customer Focus:Champion a customer-centric approach in all aspects of the category.Utilize customer insights and feedback to enhance the shopping experience and product offerings.Ensure the highest standards of quality and satisfaction in all products.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.10+ years of experience in the category , with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven success in driving category growth and achieving financial targets in an ecommerce environment.Strong network of contacts within the industry.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results.Passion for beauty and a deep understanding of beauty trends and consumer behavior.Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisionsStrong bias for action.
