Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Planning Manager - Design to join our team! In this role you will manage the program-wide project control/ scheduling activities and maintaining the Program Master Schedule. Developing the capability and supervising the performance for all program planning/scheduling development, analysis, reporting and progressevaluation.The position interfaces with the Client, Project Director, Contracts Managers, Design and Engineering team, Construction Directors, and has oversight of all scheduling activities. Reports to the Program Controls Director.What You'll Be Doing:Provides guidance and specialized assistance to project for the resolution of difficult and complex planning problemsInterfaces with clients and attends regular meetings and provides statistical reportsManages a team of Planning Engineers/Specialists who are qualified to analyze and evaluate project progress performance against an established schedule with critical milestonesAssesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippagesSupports/performs integration of scope, cost and schedule within the WBS and ensure mapping is accurate on an ongoing basisLeads the preparation and establishment of effective schedule management plans and procedures and monitors, refines, and improves the reporting and controls tools as requiredWorks with the Project Controls Director on the development and maintenance of the program wide work breakdown structure (WBS)Leads the development and maintenance of the program wide integrated scheduleProvides necessary assistance to the project and client teams in planning, scheduling, and reporting on issues/progress of the worksAssists in developing the program's procurement strategy and its associated phasing timelines and update it regularlyParticipates in the development of key milestones dates and schedule requirements in the RFPs for the design consultant and construction contractorsParticipates in the review and response to bidders' queries during tender periodsParticipates in the weekly and monthly progress meetings with design consultant, supervision consultants and the clientCreates statistical reports for management on a recurring or one-of-a-kind basisPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized university15+ years of work experience in project control and scheduling of engineering and construction activities including supervisory/managerial experienceExtensive experience with projects at design stageExcellent written and oral communications skillsThorough knowledge of industry practices and regulationsKnowledgeable of current Primavera Enterprise Systems scheduling technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the projectMinimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
