RMJM is seeking to appoint a Design Director (Master Planning) to support the continued growth of our Dubai Design Studio.Responsibilities will include:Primary focus to own Lead Design Consultant Integrated Master Planning opportunitiesLead and manage bidsAct as senior client interface e.g. Master Planning and Engagement Director on 3-5 client engagements, sustain and develop relationships with existing and new clientsManage and inspire a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined design teams through energetic and dynamic leadership to create fully integrated and commercially viable master plansDevelop the strategy for Master and Urban Planning expertise and client service offeringsDevelop designs that are firmly rooted in a strong narrative, pragmatic and respond to brief and contextSet new standards for the provision cutting edge technical design and urban planningDrive Technical Excellence and Innovation e.g. Digital Master Planning, new design toolsLead major projects by providing design and technical leadershipAble to effectively manage project commercial and financial responsibilitiesQualifications and skills:Master's degree in architectureFluent, articulate and succinct presentation skillsA creative and enthusiastic leaderPrevious experience of working within leading international architectural design practicesExperience designing and delivering high-end Hospitality, Residential and Commercial projectsHave an existing portfolio of clients and contactsA proven track record of winning and developing new businessHave detailed knowledge of the market in the Middle East regionAbility to lead bids and opportunitiesIn-depth understanding of Project Commercial and Financial ManagementConversant with BIM and other design technologyCore design skills, analytical capability and technical familiarity with major infrastructure projects, transport orientated development, landscape architecture, environmental planning and sustainabilityWe thank all applicants for their interest.
