Job Description• To protect and enhance Ashghal reputation by managing the risk of major

incidents occurring by preparing risk and contingency plans for assets in specific

locations

• Update and maintain the asset risk register with evidenced data

• Build contingency plans

• Build a programme of works to mitigate the risks identified and ensure delivery through sponsoring the solutions identified in the contingency plans

• Carry out a risk assessment using the methodology and approach as set out by

C4b specialists

• Work together with Infrastructure Affairs or O&M AM to deliver correct prioritized improvements and ensure the O&M risks are properly addressed with the necessary contingency plans built into new assets design

• Test the contingency plans through simulated incident exercises

• Identify all stakeholders in the plans and create a communication plan for the

specific contingency plans

• Understand and work towards KPIs and the Ashghal vision and ensure the work carried out on a daily basis is focussed on these provide appraisals of handover projects to ensure O&M risk is managed

• Identify alignment with identified policies, guidelines and procedures

• Appraise assets under the control of contractors and seek to align their

contingency plans with Ashghal

Job Skills• Bachelors' degree in Engineering or relevant discipline from recognized

University.

• Masters degree or professional qualification in risk management from Western

European or North American Academic institution

• Minimum 15 years previous experience in operational risk management

experience

• Water and Waste Treatment, Network or Pumping Station operational/asset

management experience

• Proven problem solver and scenario planner

• Able to converse confidently with external agencies and customers in line with Ashghal values

• Confidence to direct contractors clearly and authoritatively whilst maintaining

Ashghal values and relationships

• Must be able escalate issues with evidence to management to resolve in

acceptable timescales

• Relationship skills to work with Infrastructure Affairs and Asset Management to
