We are workingwith our client based in Qatar to source a Instrument ControlEngineer roles under Operations & Readiness Department.This is a 3 - years residential contract to be based in Qatar.Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Instrument &Control Engineering. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent ispreferable. Minimum 12 years relevant post graduate experience, ofwhich 10 years in Oil & Gas industry with an internationalreputable Operating company. Experience in operations andmaintenance is mandatory. Skill / knowledge of International, ShellDEPs and/or QP standards related to his area of expertise andDesign Software related to Instrument & ControlEngineering. Exposure with international consulting company, EPICcontractor with projects' pre-commissioning,commissioning, start up and Hand-over activities is an addedadvantage. Possess sound fundamentals in his discipline area. Shallpossess very good technical skills in his discipline. Possess goodcommunication, presentation skills and fluent in English language.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for provision ofthe required quality technical support in the area ofInstrumentation, Control systems, Telecommunication engineeringexpertise through all stages of the project. Verify and reviewtechnical designs documents in accordance with approved standardsand to meet Operations, Maintenance, Asset Integrity, HSE, ICT andCyber Security requirements. Ensure Scope Preparation CompletenessReview and hands on experience in DCS, ESD, Fire & Gas,SCADA systems, SIL ratings, SIF, Field instrumentation, Cabling,Junction Boxes, Local control panels, Field HMIs, transmitters,Detectors, Vibration probes, thermowells, Fibre optic cables,Communication converters, Metering systems, Field panels, Controlvalves, Loop checks, Marshalling panels, system Cabinets, PLCcabinets, CPU IOs, Modbus, Operator consoles, PAGA system, RTU, RF,Microwave radios, switches, Servers, NTP Servers, GSM Modems etc.Plan and coordinate between Operations, Maintenance AssetIntegrity, HSE, ICT and Cyber Security teams to ensure projectrequirements are met and aligned. Identifies potential hazardsduring Engineering activities (as applicable) such as DocumentReview, Design Safety Review workshop, HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, QRA,FERA, etc., participates in technical meetings, commissioningactivities, SAT, Plant pre-start up safety audits, performancetests raises punch lists and provide support to operations andmaintenance teams in various stages of project activities.Coordinate with Engineering, Project execution departments andOperations & Maintenance teams during projects'FEED and EPIC stages to align Operations and Maintenance, AssetIntegrity and HSE requirements. Coordinate with all relevantstakeholders and resolve relevant technical issues, punch listsduring pre-commissioning and commissioning stages until theprojects are successfully commissioned and handed over. SupportLead engineer or supervisor to ensure that all applicableenvironmental, process and safety technical policies are fullyintegrated and implemented. Ensure SIMOPS, Various ProjectInterfaces so that Shutdown Activities are properly planned foreffective execution
