Roles and responsibilities

  1. Provide overall engineering solutions, analysis, specifications, and procurement support for the infra projects.
  2. Manage opportunity & risk on the project.
  3. Have a good knowledge of the contract and key clauses.
  4. Manage deliverables and provide technical support to the team.
  5. Prepare time schedules, resource plans, and assist in preparation of budgets.
  6. Lead bids/prospects, developing techno-commercial offers in liaison with internal and external parties.
  7. Manage project execution till final delivery with NOC’s.
  8. Monitor and control budget and invoices.
  9. Manage engineers and CAD team and provide tech support.
  10. Design high voltage, medium voltage, low voltage, street lighting, and telecom networks for infrastructure, urban plan, roads, and tunnels projects.
  11. Carry out grounding, lightning protection, cable containments, and shielding.
  12. Undertake load flow analysis, short circuit, protection schemes, and grounding system calculations.
  13. Produce reports, drawings, calculations, and presentations.
  14. Attend meetings with authorities regarding utility design proposals.
  15. Aware of local authorities' regulations in the Gulf region.
  16. Advise and present engineering solutions to clients and stakeholders.
  17. Familiar with Dialux, Amtech, ETAP, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office to produce deliverables.
  18. Follow QA/QC in compliance with the requirement of the projects.
  19. Organize and attend progress meetings/communications with contractors, consultants, and authorities.
  20. Minimize end users' comments and ensure client satisfaction and quality of deliverables.
  21. Ensure that the design meets all relevant codes and standards.
  22. Review contractor shop drawings and materials submittals.
Desired candidate profile
  1. BEng/BSc (Hon) or equivalent discipline with minimum 13 years post-graduate experience; C.Eng & PMP are an advantage.
  2. Member of/working towards associated professional body membership.
  3. Experience in modeling power and lighting networks.
  4. Experience in detailed design of engineering solutions.
  5. Good report writing skills.
  6. Experience in compiling authority approval documentation in accordance with local authority standards to obtain approvals.
  7. Excellent speaking and writing communication skills in English.
