Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of a Rail Freight Business Plan, supported by the Stakeholder Manager for Freight Business Activities and the Freight Expert.
- Perform a Market Study to determine potential freight types and volumes.
- Advise and Support the Stakeholder Manager for Freight Business Activities in discussions with potential future clients.
- Develop individual commercial models for potential future freight clients.
- Support the Freight Expert in defining high-level employer requirements.
- Support preparation of tender documents or any other documents required in the procurement process.
Qualifications:
- More than 10 years within international transport and logistics holdings providing railway services as a core business.
- Development of policy and strategy documents, business plans for state-owned railway enterprises with a focus on freight and logistics.
- Financial models for state-owned and private railway enterprises.
- Experience with market studies based on desk research and field research, demand analysis by commodity types.
- Detailed knowledge of railway operations processes within the GCC network.
- Knowledge and experience with Arabian Gulf Stakeholder engagement.
- Ideally previously working on freight-related projects in Qatar and/or the GCC.
- Excellent skills in MS Office.
