Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Review contract estimates, including proposed materials, production costs, etc., and determine whether they seem reasonable and accurate.
  2. Provide professional and strategic advice to the line manager on urgent contracts’ recommendations and risks.
  3. Manage and coordinate the company's approach towards litigation/other proceedings to which the company is a part.
  4. Liaise with other parties' legal advisors/representatives as required.
  5. Undertake legal research as required.
  6. Develop guidance, policies, handbooks, manuals, etc., as required to secure/facilitate the company’s ongoing compliance with international contract administration standards.
  7. Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and make recommendations for changes and improvements for the negative department issues.
  8. Manage, lead, and contribute to the development of the company’s contracts and any other documentation that might add to the company’s obligations.
  9. Coordinate all legal/contract matters with other departments as needed.
  10. Continuous improvement of contracting processes through refining contract formulation activities, systems, and procedures across different stages of projects’ lifecycle i.e., construction, post-construction, closing out, renewal, extension, and so on.
  11. Manage and maintain contemporary records of correspondence and documentation thereof in relation to RFIs, VOs, incoming and outgoing letters, etc.
  12. Manage claim preparation, submission, defending, negotiation, and reaching suitable settlements and resolutions.
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, legal, or related discipline from a recognized university (Engineering is preferred).
  2. Overall professional experience of 10 years in facility management industry experience/exposure.
  3. If Engineer, must be registered as a member in SCE.
Required Skills:
  1. Excellent knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
  2. Extensive knowledge of KSA Government Tenders and Procurement Law and its Implementing Regulations.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  5. Strong negotiation skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others.
  8. Understanding of business and management principles.
  9. Thorough understanding of manpower, materials, supplies of the company.
  10. Good level of knowledge of engineering procurement, contracts, claims, and dispute resolutions.
  11. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  12. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
