We’ve got what you’re looking for. Job Description: Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Delivery Manager (Water) to join our team in Abu Dhabi! In this role, you will oversee and manage the activities of a diverse team working in the fields of overall design and construction management of the project related to pumping station, water pipeline projects with ring network, control valve station, water storage tanks and water transmission scheme. What You’ll Be Doing Reporting to the Program Director, the Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the activities of a diverse team across three key delivery streams: EPC Contractors, Design Management, and Construction Delivery, with a focus on Client Liaison.
- Design Management Coordination: Lead and manage the Design Management team to ensure designs are procured, managed, and delivered effectively and efficiently for construction.
- Construction Delivery Oversight: Oversee project management and delivery of construction packages, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Client Liaison: Collaborate closely with the Client Liaison team to build strong relationships with clients, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and status reports to senior management on project progress.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects are delivered in compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/civil, or related field with 20+ years of experience in overall design and construction management of projects related to pumping stations, water pipeline projects with ring networks, control valve stations, water storage tanks, and water transmission schemes.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional ability to convey concepts, ideas, and technical details clearly through speech, written reports, and visuals.
- Able to work effectively in a mega-project environment with minimal supervision beyond senior Quality Control checks.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
- Comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty, with the flexibility to adjust approaches as needed.
- Coordinate and develop the overall commissioning and energization plan, overseeing the commissioning and energization phases of the project.
- Ability to effectively present information to key stakeholders as required by the client.
- Significant experience in PMC projects.
- Understanding of the PMC, construction, and design delivery process and the functions inherent to construction management of large-scale projects.
- Understanding of budget development and cost accounting.
- Ability to manage and encourage a team of design and construction management professionals.
- Ability to interface with all levels of the project team, client, and others.
