Job Purpose: To support the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of organizational strategies and innovation initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic objectives. The role is pivotal in driving transformative change, fostering a culture of innovation, and identifying emerging trends and opportunities to enhance competitiveness, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. Key Accountabilities:
- Strategic Planning and Execution: • Develop and oversee the implementation of the organization's strategic framework, ensuring alignment with the mission, vision, and strategic priorities. • Facilitate annual, multi-year, monthly strategic planning processes, incorporating data-driven insights and stakeholder input. • Monitor and evaluate the progress of strategic initiatives, preparing regular updates for leadership and stakeholders.
- Innovation Management: • Foster a culture of innovation by identifying and promoting emerging trends, disruptive technologies, and new business models. • Lead the design and execution of innovation programs, pilots, and initiatives to drive organizational growth and transformation. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed innovation into business processes and decision-making.
- Performance Management: • Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic and innovation initiatives. • Provide regular performance reports and recommend course corrections to ensure achievement of organizational objectives. • Perform validation audits for key performance indicators progress, review and follow up on evidence. • Develop corrective actions for all key performance indicators that did not achieve target.
- MoU and Partnership Framework Implementation: • Develop, negotiate, and oversee the implementation of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and strategic partnerships to align with organizational goals. • Ensure partnerships deliver measurable value, are aligned with the organization's strategic objectives, and comply with all governance requirements. • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to monitor the performance and outcomes of partnerships, addressing challenges and optimizing collaboration. • Maintain a database of partnership agreements, tracking timelines, obligations, and renewal opportunities.
- Research and Benchmarking: • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting to inform strategic decision-making. • Benchmark the organization's performance against industry leaders and best practices to identify improvement opportunities.
- Change Management and Transformation: • Support the development of organizational change by promoting adaptive strategies and managing the transition from traditional to innovative practices. • Support the development of communication and change management plans to ensure stakeholder buy-in and smooth implementation of initiatives.
- Governance and Compliance: • Ensure all strategic and innovation activities adhere to organizational policies, regulations, and ethical standards. • Establish frameworks for the documentation and reporting of strategic progress and innovation outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the organization's strategy and innovation processes. • Implement systems and tools to enhance collaboration, decision-making, and project delivery.
- Dubai Chamber Excellence Program (DGEP) Planning & Management: • Support Dubai Chamber in the DGEP Self-Assessment Function including selection of assessors, provision of appropriate training to assessors, planning the annual assessment, leading and conducting the assessment in accordance with DGEP requirements, communicating assessment reports and findings to all the departments, and supporting the departments in developing their action plan and follow-up on the closure of all corrective actions with effective implementation supported by the Excellence coordinators. • Support the ongoing cooperation with the DGEP program management team to ensure effective integration of the program's excellence standards and to realize benefits of continuous optimization of Chamber's performance and services. • Support the preparation of Dubai Chamber participating in DGEP cycle, manage preparation of Dubai Chamber main submission for DGEP, manage and prepare nominations for individual categories. • Prepare Dubai Chamber participation plan for DGEP Award, follow up on the implementation of the plan activities, and ensure efficient and effective implementation of the plan.
