Job details
We are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Duties may also include loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The Forklift Operator must have a valid certification to operate a forklift and adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures. Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role. Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred. - Operate forklifts to load and unload materials.
- Transport goods to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner.
- Inspect and maintain forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while operating the forklift.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately recording materials handled.
- Communicate with team members to coordinate tasks and prioritize workflow.
- Keep work area clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to forklift operations.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of forklift operation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification or license.
- Previous experience operating a forklift.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
