Position: One of our clients, a leading Bank in the United Arab Emirates, is looking for an AML/CFT Officer . P.S: Emirati Nationals will be preferred for the role.

Job Details

Department: Compliance Reporting To: AML/CFT Manager and Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct a first level review of alerts triggered as suspicious or unusual by the AML transaction monitoring system.
  2. Determine whether to close the suspicion as a false positive or escalate the case as a potential genuine alert to the AML/CFT Investigations Senior Officers for further review.
  3. Conduct an in-depth analysis of assigned AML alerts as per the Bank’s internal procedures to identify genuine suspicious or unusual transactions.
  4. Document the rationale and analysis of the review conducted to justify the closure or escalation of the alert.

Job Context

The Bank has recently set up the AML/CFT Unit to manage all financial crime-related risks. The jobholder is accountable for providing accurate and timely information to the AML/CFT team on all AML investigations and ensuring compliance with relevant local and international laws.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.
  2. Background in investigations and a good understanding of AML red flags.
  3. Well-versed with banking systems, concepts, and best practices.
  4. Certification in investigations or similar work.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience in an AML/CFT Investigations role.
