Are you a talented Data Scientist based in or willing to relocate to Dubai, UAE? We are seeking a professional with a strong background in quantitative modelling, ideally with experience in investment banking, private equity, or related sectors. The candidate should have extensive experience in developing complex quantitative models and should be able to work on high-pressure projects. The role will focus on developing complex quantitative models to support our policy advisory teams, working in close collaboration with the team’s data scientists and AI delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Quantitative Modelling: Develop and refine complex quantitative models using Python, Excel, R, and other relevant tools to support policy advisory and decision-making processes.
  2. Collaboration: Work closely with the team’s data scientists and the AI delivery team to integrate models into broader analytics and AI frameworks.
  3. Analysis: Apply advanced quantitative techniques to extract actionable insights and drive policy recommendations.
  4. Model Validation: Ensure the robustness and accuracy of models under high-pressure, dynamic conditions.
  5. Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of modelling approaches, assumptions, and performance metrics.

Technical Skills & Proficiencies

  1. Quantitative Analysis Tools: Advanced proficiency in Python, Excel, and R for quantitative modelling.
  2. Modelling Expertise: Demonstrated ability to develop, test, and refine complex quantitative models.
  3. Optional Skills: Familiarity with SQL and big data technologies is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

  1. Educational Background:
    1. A Master’s degree in Finance is preferred; or
    2. A Master’s degree in Economics, Management, or Business Analytics in combination with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
  2. Experience:
    1. A minimum of 2 years of experience, including internships, with a background in banking, investment, or similar fields that require high exposure to quantitative modelling.
