Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor equipment such as pumps, compressors, separators, and valves to control the flow of oil, gas, and water during production operations.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed, coordinating with maintenance technicians or engineers for more complex issues.
  • Collect samples of oil, gas, and water for analysis, and perform basic laboratory tests to monitor product quality and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Monitor production parameters such as flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and levels, and adjust equipment settings as necessary to optimize production efficiency.
  • Assist with startup and shutdown procedures for production equipment, following standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and environmental monitoring data, and report any deviations or abnormalities to supervisors.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in production operations, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Familiarity with production equipment and systems used in oil and gas production, including pumps, compressors, separators, and control valves.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and address equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
