Financial Controller (Arabic Speaking) – Large MNC

This is a newly created position due to the company growth. This role reports to the CFO and is responsible for the following:
  1. Analysis by cost centers/areas, by branches by the businesses/ product lines and by single orders and coordinates, with the operations, actions in case of deviations.
  2. Control and report the Planning Process (Rough Plan, Forecast and Budget).
  3. Monitor, report and analyze the risks and opportunities of the financial development of the company against the targets including proposals for remedial actions and improvements.
  4. Monitor the implementation of the Company’s business strategy.
  5. Manage the planning process (Rough Plan, Forecast, Budget) establishing the planning criteria in accordance with the general guidelines of the company.
  6. Analyze monthly and year-end closings.
  7. Ensure that all Reporting is completed on time and to the established standards.
  8. Analyze risks and opportunities and present to the Finance Manager (CFO) and Area Manager.
  9. Analyze deviations from Budget and Forecasts, communicate and ensure that remedial action is taken in each of the functional areas impacted.
  10. Analyze deviations from job pre-calculation (NI, Mod. and EI), communicate, coordinate and ensure actions are taken by the functional areas.
  11. Identify causes of deviations and communicate to the relevant business leaders.
  12. Provide advice and support to all business areas as required.
  13. Analyze income and expenses by business, product lines and cost centers, monitor and assess deviation against budgets and forecasts.
  14. Establish the annual planning calendar and process.
  15. Identify and analyze the root causes of deviations to the budget and propose remedial actions.
  16. Advise and support the various business areas in the budgetary process.
  17. Analyze the recovery gap.
  18. Analyze and monitor cost over-/under-runs by cost buckets, WIP, late costs and loss job provisions of NI, Mod. and EI orders.
To be successful you must have/be:
  1. Arabic speaking.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Finance & Accounting.
  3. At least 5 years in a similar role in a large organization.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Commercial acumen.
  6. Knowledge of ERP systems.
