Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: The Data Analysis & Reporting Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting the AVP Data Analysis & Reporting and the Head of Business Governance in fulfilling the Data Analysis & Reporting needs of all Consumer Banking Group’s entities which include all business segments (Mass, Elite, Elite World, NHL, Islamic, etc.) and functions (Product, Sales & Distribution, Business Development, Digital, Digital Marketing, Strategies, other Business Governance units, etc.). The role holder is also expected to support business units outside of Consumer Banking including Global Private Banking, Customer Experience, KYC & Onboarding, Finance, Contact Centre, DAAI, Group Compliance, etc. The role holder focuses on ad hoc requirements, deep dive analytics, and other special business intelligence projects and initiatives, and to support in the overall objectives of Business Analytics in terms of automation, Power BI reporting, and performance packs, in order to drive data-driven decisions. The role holder will also lead the analytical and reporting requirements on marketing leads, activities and overall lead-management performance, and digital adoption and sales journeys.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Data Sourcing & Maintenance
  1. Discovering new data from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and migrating into the EDW such processes that source data from outside of it by establishing and governing data logics from EDW tables.
  2. Performing sanity checks on all data inputs and liaising with respective EDW IT custodians in the event of anomalies.
  3. Liaising with EDW IT to onboard new columns or tables.
  4. Running the necessary jobs on a regular basis to ensure that the backend tables are created on time.
  5. Establishing a clean, responsible and easy-to-track data source.
Ad Hocs & Special Projects
  1. Handling and delivering various ad hoc requirements across the different CBG functions as well as other FAB business units.
  2. Supporting on the data inputs required for group or bank-wide activities and initiatives.
  3. Supporting on regulatory data requirements including CBUAE, FATCA/CRS, AML/CFT, etc.
  4. Supporting on CBG special projects.
Regular Reporting
  1. Delivery of reports that are committed to stakeholders.
  2. Working towards full automation of reports in favor of EDW and Power BI.
CRM Campaign/Lead Performance Reporting and Oversight
  1. Monitoring and tracking campaign/lead performance results.
  2. Preparing regular and ad hoc reports as required.
  3. Assisting in planning and deployment of new campaign/leads.
Digital Journey’s Reporting and Insight
  1. Making sure all digital journeys are tagged and reported to top management.
  2. Bridge the gap between Business and Tech team to get the requirements for digital journeys.
  3. Perform adhoc analysis as and when needed.
In relation and further to the above Responsibilities, the role holder is expected to:

  4. Perform proactive deep-dive analyses and logical derivations.
  5. Adhere to policies and procedures as set out by the Group and by FAB.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to constantly fine-tune the reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related discipline. Minimum Experience 3+ years of relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 1 year in similar positions. Other Essential Requirements
  1. Strong technical knowledge of Consumer Banking products and business model.
  2. Basic SQL knowledge.
  3. Advanced Excel skills.
  4. Basic knowledge of BI tools.
  5. Knowledge of and aptitude for data warehousing and ETL will be an advantage.
  6. Ability to interact with senior stakeholders across the Group.
  7. Excellent communication skills.
  8. Advanced presentation skills.
