We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure Engineer to oversee the efficient operation, scalability, and security of our organization's IT infrastructure. The role involves managing servers, networks, and cloud-based systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, upgrading hardware and software, and implementing robust disaster recovery plans to safeguard business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Server & Network Management
    • Maintain, configure, and monitor servers (Windows/Linux) and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
    • Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance to prevent downtime.
    • Monitor system logs and diagnose hardware/software issues.
  2. Security & Compliance
    • Implement and maintain security best practices, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies.
    • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation strategies.
  3. Troubleshooting & Technical Support
    • Provide advanced troubleshooting for network, server, and hardware-related issues.
    • Work closely with IT support teams to resolve escalated technical problems efficiently.
    • Document issues and solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  4. Disaster Recovery & Backup Management
    • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
    • Manage data backup and recovery solutions, performing routine testing to validate effectiveness.
  5. Infrastructure Optimization & Scalability
    • Evaluate and recommend upgrades or optimizations to enhance system performance and scalability.
    • Assist in planning and executing infrastructure expansion projects.
    • Work with vendors and third-party service providers to implement new technologies.
  6. Cloud & Virtualization Management (If applicable)
    • Manage cloud-based services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and ensure seamless integration with on-premise systems.
    • Maintain and optimize virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  7. Documentation & Process Improvement
    • Maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, policies, and procedures.
    • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field .
  • 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in server administration, networking, and cybersecurity .
  • Experience with Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies .
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols .
  • Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with backup & disaster recovery solutions .
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
