To make sure that purchasing, logistics and supply chain activities run well, our client is searching for an experienced supply chain manager. You will be responsible for establishing and leading a supply chain department, acting as a link between the engineering team in Dubai and the purchasing team under your leadership in China whilst managing every facet of the supply chain in this position, including distribution, logistics, inventory control, and procurement. Effective business strategies also require collaboration with other departments, including finance and operations; therefore, having strong cooperation skills is essential. The chosen applicant will be a team leader collaborating closely with many departments to guarantee the timely delivery of materials and goods while reducing expenses and optimizing productivity. Responsibilities

  • Establishing and leading a supply-chain department
  • Act as a link between engineering and your purchasing team in China
  • Create and put into action the supply chain strategy for the business.
  • Examine data from delivery and shipping procedures to find problems and bottlenecks.
  • Create, access and communicate KPIs.
  • Monitor logistics to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
  • Train and guide employees
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
  • Address any problems that arise (such as delivery delays or accidents).
  • Work together with other divisions to develop well-coordinated plans for the expansion of the company.
  • Create and put into effect safety protocols for every facet of the supply chain, such as the utilization of vehicles and forklifts. Verify that supply chain procedures adhere to standards and legal requirements.
  • To achieve profitable agreements, communicate and bargain with merchants and suppliers.
  • Create and carry out strategic plans to improve the supply chain operations of the business.
  • Oversee and plan all procurement-related tasks, such as sourcing, choosing suppliers, and negotiating contracts.
  • Manage inventory and make sure there are enough supplies on hand to satisfy demand from customers.
  • Build and preserve connections with vendors and suppliers to guarantee prompt delivery of goods and materials.
  • Track and evaluate supply chain performance to pinpoint problem areas and put fixes in place to boost productivity and cut expenses.
  • Work together with internal divisions to estimate demand and create production schedules, such as sales, marketing, and production.
  • Assure adherence to all pertinent supply chain management laws, rules, and corporate policies.
  • Oversee the development of a high-achieving supply chain team and offer direction, assistance, and training as required.
Skills
  • Previous experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes
  • Strong ability in leadership & talent sourcing
  • Working experience with relevant software

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent/related experience.
  • 4 or more years of supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management experience - experience in a leading manufacturing or automotive sector role is an added advantage.
