About the job: Commercial Manager

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Development:
    1. Identify new business opportunities and drive client acquisition efforts.
    2. Develop and deliver proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  2. Revenue Management:
    1. Achieve and exceed revenue targets through strategic planning and execution.
    2. Explore cross-selling and upselling opportunities with existing clients.
  3. Client Relationship Management:
    1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
    2. Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and escalations.
  4. Market Analysis:
    1. Conduct market research to understand trends, competitors, and client needs.
    2. Provide insights to refine the company’s service offerings and positioning.
  5. Partnerships & Networking:
    1. Collaborate with vendors, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.
    2. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
  6. Team Coordination:
    1. Work closely with the operations, marketing, and creative teams to deliver high-quality events.
    2. Provide guidance and support to junior team members in the commercial department.
  7. Financial Oversight:
    1. Manage budgets, pricing strategies, and financial planning for projects.
    2. Track and report on revenue and profitability metrics.

  1. Strong business development and client management skills.

  4. Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.

Qualifications & Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the event management industry.
  3. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  4. Familiarity with event planning and execution processes is an advantage.

  1. Revenue growth percentage.
  2. Number of new clients acquired.
  3. Client retention and satisfaction rates.
  4. Profitability of managed projects.
