This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Manager in Riyadh. The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing occupational health, safety training, environment health and safety (EHS), accident investigation, and industrial safety on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities

  1. Development and Implementation of Safety Policies and Procedures
    1. Create, update, and enforce safety policies and procedures tailored to FTI’s operations.
    2. Ensure compliance with local regulations (e.g., Saudi Labor Laws, OSHA, and NFPA standards).
    3. Develop site-specific risk management strategies.
  2. Risk Assessments and Hazard Identification
    1. Conduct regular hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA).
    2. Implement Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for high-risk tasks.
    3. Evaluate potential hazards associated with machinery, equipment, and processes.
  3. Training and Awareness Programs
    1. Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
    2. Conduct specialized training sessions on topics like confined space entry, work at height, and electrical safety.
    3. Provide toolbox talks to ensure daily awareness of safety practices.
  4. Incident Management and Reporting
    1. Investigate all workplace incidents, including near misses, first aid cases, and Lost Workday Cases (LWDC).
    2. Analyze root causes and recommend corrective actions.
    3. Prepare detailed incident reports for management and clients.
  5. Monitoring and Compliance
    1. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits across all operational areas.
    2. Ensure that employees and contractors adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
    3. Monitor compliance with emergency response procedures and drills.
  6. Emergency Response Planning
    1. Develop and maintain an effective Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
    2. Coordinate and conduct fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency rescue scenarios.
    3. Ensure emergency equipment is functional and strategically located.
  7. Contractor and Subcontractor Safety Management
    1. Evaluate and approve contractors’ safety management plans.
    2. Monitor and audit contractors’ performance to ensure adherence to FTI’s safety standards.
    3. Coordinate with contractors to address any safety violations or concerns.
  8. Documentation and Reporting
    1. Maintain comprehensive records of safety audits, inspections, and training sessions.
    2. Generate monthly HSE performance reports, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    3. Ensure documentation aligns with client and regulatory requirements.
    4. Identify opportunities to enhance FTI’s safety culture.
    5. Implement innovative solutions to mitigate risks and improve operational safety.
    6. Benchmark against industry best practices to keep FTI ahead of safety standards.
  9. Leadership and Collaboration
    1. Act as a safety advisor to management, providing guidance on strategic decisions.
    2. Lead the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee meetings.

Qualifications

  • Occupational Health and Safety Training skills
  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS)
  • Accident Investigation and Industrial Safety skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Relevant certifications in occupational health and safety
