The Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an organization's information security strategies and frameworks. This role involves managing a team of cybersecurity professionals to safeguard sensitive data, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Manage Security Strategies: Design and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures. Establish short and long-term security goals and risk management strategies.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity analysts and engineers. Coordinate training and awareness programs to enhance organizational security culture.
  3. Threat and Vulnerability Management: Identify, assess, and address security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents. Oversee regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
  4. Incident Response: Manage incident detection, response, and recovery processes. Conduct root cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
  5. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS). Collaborate with auditors and provide required documentation.
  6. Technology Oversight: Evaluate, procure, and deploy security tools and solutions. Monitor network activity to detect and mitigate unauthorized access.
  7. Collaboration: Work with IT teams to integrate security best practices into system architecture. Liaise with external partners, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CRISC.
  • Experience: 5-7+ years in information security roles, with 2+ years in a managerial position.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and endpoint protection. Knowledge of threat modeling, risk assessment, and mitigation. Familiarity with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication and stakeholder management.
