The Payroll HR Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll functions and HR operational processes to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing along with compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies. This role requires a strategic and analytical mindset to improve payroll systems and lead HR operational enhancements that support the organization's goals. This role requires an Arabic speaker and preferably someone from a Media background. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and guarantee the disbursement of multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.
  • Ensure the payroll system is configured correctly and maintained to meet the needs of the business and the requirements of audit and compliance.
  • Supervise and coach the payroll team to achieve high performance, foster professional development, and ensure optimal team engagement.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to enhance payroll services and implement process improvements.
  • Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures within HR and payroll.
  • Handle and resolve complex employee payroll issues and provide accurate payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits.
  • Conduct regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements.
