Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  1. Achieve daily targeted number of sales calls with effectiveness.
  2. Develop business leads for the Hotel on a weekly basis.
  3. Prepare a monthly list of accounts to penetrate for the following month.
  4. Plan a minimum of 2 site inspections/entertainment meetings per week to qualified potential accounts or new accounts.
  5. Prepare a monthly action plan for the main market segment.
  6. Perform monthly review of account profiles on room nights production and average rate.
  7. Monitor competitors’ rate strategy, account penetration, and marketing activities to maintain a competitive edge.
  8. Fully responsible for accounts under his/her management, including contracting, updating profiles, and renewing contracts.
  9. Update management on VIP arrivals and meet and greet accordingly.
  10. Up-sell, cross-sell, and promote Hotel facilities & services at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue.
  11. Conduct negotiations to achieve the best profit and rates for the Hotel.
  12. Attend hotel clients and local community business events to network and maintain high visibility.
  13. Update the Director of Sales on market trends and business leads.
  14. Maintain close contacts within the community and in neighboring marketing areas, with airlines, travel agencies, commercial houses, private clubs, professional associates, etc. to procure new business for the hotel.
  15. Review internal promotion pieces on a regular basis to ensure that all hotel signs, posters, tent cards, etc. are adequate, up-to-date, visually effective, and consistent with high standards set by management.
  16. Organize and promote, in cooperation with the Food and Beverage Department, special projects such as Monthly Food Promotion, Café promotion, etc. to stimulate the Food & Beverage sales within the community.
  17. Coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping Departments in handling room reservations and customers’ inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  18. Direct, supervise, and administer all personnel within the Sales Department.
  19. Prepare and execute (in conjunction with the Public Relations Department) regular direct mail campaigns that stimulate local interest in the Hotel’s facilities, announce special events, promote the credit card, etc.

Qualifications

  1. Discipline, good attitude, and self-motivated.
  2. Passionate about guest experience and satisfaction.
  3. Able to work in a team & good communication skills.
  4. Fluent in English, both written and verbally.
  5. Must have experience in the same position for at least 2 years in an upscale hotel.
  6. Hotel or Business School graduates with Higher Diploma or Bachelor Degree.
